VI IELTS

UKVI IELTS stands for United Kingdom Visas and Immigration IELTS. It's a specific version of the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) test approved by the UK Home Office for visa and immigration purposes.

Reading

Candidates read passages from books, newspapers, or online sources and answer questions. The test lasts 60 minutes and includes multiple-choice, matching, and True/False/Not Given questions.

Listening

The IELTS UKVI Listening test lasts about 30 minutes, with an extra 10 minutes to transfer answers. It has 4 sections with 40 questions in total. You’ll listen to audio recordings of conversations and monologues with different accents (like British, Australian, etc.). The questions test your ability to understand main ideas, specific facts, opinions, and attitudes.

Writing

Task 1: Describe visual data (Academic) or write a letter (General Training). 

Task 2: Write an essay based on an argument or opinion. The test lasts 60 minutes.

Speaking

A face-to-face interview with an examiner, divided into three parts: 
1. Introduction & Personal Questions 

2. Cue Card (2-minute speech on a topic) 

3. Discussion on related topics. The test lasts 11–14 minutes.
